Discussion in the Ministry of Environment on the damages caused by grizzly bears to the residents of the communities
In the context of the human-wild animal conflict, a discussion was held under the leadership of Minister of Environment Hakob Simidyan on the recent studies of the behavior of grizzly bears and ways to mitigate the threats to residents and their economies.
Representatives from interested departments and non-governmental organizations operating in the field took part in the discussion.

Today, under the leadership of Minister Hakob Simidyan, with the participation of "Sevan" National Park, "Hayantar" SNCO, "Hydrometeorology and Monitoring Center" SNCO, Environmental Protection and Subsoil Inspection Body, Scientific Center of Zoology and Hydroecology of RA NAS, Ministry's professional departments and non-governmental organizations the problem of drying of pine trees in "Sevan National Park" SNCO was discussed.

Welcoming the partners, the minister highly appreciated the Armenian-Russian relations in the field of the environment and stated that there is a great potential for developing sectoral cooperation, which should be effectively realized thanks to bilateral efforts.

Period of activity of snakes. how to beware and how to act?
There are 23 types of snakes in Armenia, of which 3 types of vipers and the Transcaucasian gyurza are poisonous.
It should be noted that according to statistical data, about 40 percent of people died from snake bites, not from poison, but from fear.
