Clarification
In response to the publication by the Armenian Environmental Front Civic Initiative entitled "A company of unknown origin wants to be permitted to do mineral prospecting in a huge forested area in Lori region", where the authors of the initiative pointed out the inappropriate public awareness regarding the public reviews to be held on April 16, we deem it necessary to clarify the following:

Another 10.000 trees will be planted on the shores of Lake Sevan within the framework of "10 million trees" initiative
The Ministry of Environment continues the tree planting launched within the framework of the "10 million trees" initiative with great vigour.
On April 17, 10.000 saplings will be planted in Gegharkunik region, in the territory of "Sevan" National Park in the frames of "10 million trees" initiative.

Minister of Environment Romanos Petrosyan conducted a visit to the Faculty of Geography and Geology of Yerevan State University
The Minister himself graduated from the Department of Exploration and Evaluation of Mineral Deposits of the same faculty.
The Minister was accompanied by Artur Petrosyan, Acting Chairman of the Committee of Forest of the Ministry of Environment, and Levon Azizyan, Acting Director of “Hydrometeorology and Monitoring Center” SNCO, who are also graduates of the Faculty of Geography and Geology.
