The youth summit of eco-clubs of the charitable foundation "A.T.P." took place

On December 20, the youth summit of eco-clubs of the "A.T.P." Charitable Foundation took place.
The summit presented an annual overview of the activities of eco-clubs based on the beginning of the year: implemented environmental projects, results and consequences.
The summit was attended by Deputy Head of the Strategic Policy Department of the Ministry of Environment Artur Gavalyan, representatives of local and international partner organizations, members of eco-clubs, guests.
In the introductory speech, the importance of the role of environmental education, education and information in the process of solving modern global and regional environmental problems was noted. The necessity of forming the scientific validity of ecological culture, coordinated work of all stakeholders in this direction, ensuring continuous accessibility of environmental education for all segments of society was presented.
The Commission evaluated the projects of eco-clubs. Primary School No. 30 named after Sevaka took 1st place. Abrahamyan. Secondary School named after V. Abrahamyan took No. 2nd place, Yerevan Primary School No. 153 named after Rafael Ishkhanyan took 3-rd place.
Environmental programs included the construction of an open-air eco-class, the creation of an open-air eco-library, the construction of a greenhouse, the arrangement of an eco-museum in the school, etc.
One of the goals of the “A.T.P.” Charitable Foundation, established in 1994, is to protect the environment with the help of trees. Courses on nature conservation and capacity building are organized for members of eco-clubs created as a result of cooperation. As a result, students acquire environmental knowledge and skills to identify environmental problems in their communities and draw up a program that they implement with the support of the Foundation.
