On May 30-31, a high-level workshop on the financing of the water sector was held in Brussels, which was attended by Tigran Gabrielyan, Deputy Minister of Environment and Lilit Abrahamyan, Head of Water Policy Department.
During the workshop, Tigran Gabrielyan, Deputy Minister of Environment participated in the panel discussion on the challenges of finance mobilization in the water sector and delivered a report on "Assessment of the Investment Environment in the Water Sector of Armenia".
Lilit Abrahamyan, Head of Water Policy Department of the Ministry of Environment, participated in the panel discussion on the application and reform of the economic mechanisms of the water sector and delivered a report on "Possibilities and prerequisites for the reform of the system of nature use fees and environmental taxes in Armenia".
Within the framework of the workshop, the RA delegation discussed the possibilities of further cooperation in the fields of water sector management and financing sectors with partner international organizations implementing the "EU4Environment - Water Resources and Environmental Data" project.
