Deputy Minister of Environment Tigran Gabrielyan paid a working visit to Academician I. V. at Yehiazarov Institute of Water Problems and Hydraulic Engineering.
Levon Azizyan, director of the "Hydrometeorology and Monitoring Center" SNCO of the ministry, Gayane Hovsepyan, head of the water resources management department of the ministry, Hayk Ghevondyan, head of the water use permits department, also participated in the meeting.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the existing problems in the water sector with the scientific community in order to involve the latter in measures aimed at solving water problems.
The representatives of the Ministry got acquainted with the researches, innovative experiments and opportunities carried out at the institute.
A number of issues of environmental importance in the water sector were discussed with the director of the institute, Armen Babayan, the chairman of the technical commission for the use and protection of water systems of the Water Committee, Hovhannes Tokmajyan, and the researchers of the institute.
For the purpose of mutual cooperation, a bilateral agreement will be signed between the Ministry and the Institute in the near future, in order to jointly serve the efforts of the Ministry and the scientific organization in solving the problems of the water sector.
