By the decision of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Deputy Minister of Environment Gayane Gabrielyan is on a working visit to the Arab Republic of Egypt

By the decision of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Deputy Minister of Environment Gayane Gabrielyan is on a working visit to the Arab Republic of Egypt (Sharm el-Sheikh) to participate in the 27th meeting within the framework of the United Nations Framework Convention.
During the working visit, the Deputy Minister met with the Director of the region of the UN World Food Program, Corin Flesher, and the responsible for the policy of the program, Oscar Ekdal.
The deepening of bilateral cooperation between the World Food Program and the Republic of Armenia and the areas of cooperation were discussed at the meeting.
Corin Flesher presented the programs implemented by the organization in the Republic of Armenia, in particular, the "stable school meals" program, measures to help mitigate the damage suffered as a result of the war in the Syunik region, as well as measures to transition to green energy and reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the climate agenda.
Gayane Gabrielyan added that two climate projects in the region are currently being implemented, aimed at climate change, the policy of development of all sectors of the economy:
The implementation of strategies in the sectoral policy will be an incentive to prepare for the development and presentation of long-term strategies.
The Deputy Minister thanked the program for its continued assistance to the Republic of Armenia and highlighted the areas in which it is possible to expand this support and form sectoral cooperation.
During the meeting, the parties agreed to take steps to implement projects as soon as possible that contribute to effective environmental management and stem from environmental interests.
Deputy Minister Gayane Gabrielyan invited her colleagues to Armenia.
