Ministry of Environment, Institute of Botany after A. Takhtajyan of NAS RA and Caucasus Nature Foundation (CNF) signed a Trilateral Memorandum of Understanding

The Ministry of Environment as the central executive authority of the Republic of Armenia, which develops and implements state policy in the field of environmental protection, including monitoring of biodiversity, the Institute of Botany named after Takhtajyan as a valuable fundamental and applied study of the flora and vegetation of Armenia, including research and monitoring of ecosystems and habitats of Red Book, endemic and relict plant species of the Republic of Armenia and the Caucasus Nature Foundation, The Foundation, founded and operating in accordance with the procedure established by German legislation and contributing to the conservation of Armenia's biodiversity, in particular, the conservation and development of specially protected natural territories, signed a joint memorandum, which begins long-term cooperation with the aim of monitoring biodiversity in specially protected natural territories of the Republic of Armenia, supported by the Caucasus Nature Foundation.
The memorandum was signed by Deputy Minister of Environment Aram Meymaryan, Director of the A. Takhtajyan Institute of Botany of the National Academy of Sciences Arsen Gasparyan and Executive Director of the Caucasus Nature Foundation Tobias Munchmeier.
Congratulating his colleagues, Deputy Minister Aram Meymaryan assessed the cooperation as a precedent. According to the Deputy Minister, it is very important when the cooperation of the body developing the state policy of the sphere, a scientific institute and an international institute is laid on an institutional basis.
The parties reaffirmed their readiness to act within the framework of a common vision of a greener, more developed and good environment.
