On April 12-14 of this year, a workshop titled "Sustainable public procurement tools, implementation and best practice" was held in Yerevan.
 The workshop was carried out in cooperation with the Ministry of Environment, with funding from the Commercial Law Development Program (CLDP) of the US Department of Commerce, within the framework of cooperation with the US Environmental Protection Agency and the US Embassy in Armenia.
 The workshop was attended by Deputy Minister of Environment Gayane Gabrielyan, Head of the International Program of the New Hampshire Office of International Trade Adam Boltik, Independent Expert on Sustainable Government Procurement Farid Yaker, High Performance Building Program Advisor of the US Department of General Services, High Performance Green Buildings Program Advisor Michael Blum, interested agencies  appropriate representatives.
 The Commercial Law Development Program of the US Department of Commerce's Office of the General Counsel is uniquely tasked with providing technical assistance to governments and the private sector in transition economies to improve the legal environment for business, thereby promoting greater political stability and economic opportunity for local entrepreneurs and US companies.  .
 Deputy Minister Gayane Gabrielyan delivered the opening speech, who in his speech referred to the field of sustainable public procurement in Armenia, existing problems and challenges, and emphasized the importance of the "green" concept.
 During the workshop, the legislative mechanisms, standards, criteria related to sustainable, green procurement were presented, as well as international case studies in the field of sustainable public procurement, tools, best practices and examples of actions aimed at sustainable procurement, eco-labels available in the global market, carbon trading.
 Participants were given practical tasks to present their vision for a sustainable services procurement procedure.
 At the end of the workshop, participants were given participation certificates.
