The National Assembly discussed the package of draft laws proposed by the Government "On Mercury" and related

On March 16, at a meeting of the NA Standing Committee on Territorial Administration, Local Self-government, agriculture and environmental protection, the package of draft laws "on Mercury" proposed by the government and related ones were discussed in the second reading.
According to the Deputy Minister of Environment of the Republic of Armenia Gayane Gabrielyan, the proposed changes are due in 2017. in 2020.The Minamata Convention on Mercury was ratified. After joining the Convention, Armenia undertook to limit the production, import and export of products with mercury filler.
the Deputy Minister said that certain additions were made to the package of projects between the first and second readings:
Deputy Minister of Environment of the Republic of Armenia Gayane Gabrielyan also presented in the second reading a package of draft laws "On amendments and additions to the RA Law "On Wildlife.
According to the Deputy Minister, the proposed legislative changes will contribute to reducing the administration and comprehensive regulation of the use of wildlife in the Republic of Armenia:
The packages of finalized projects received a positive conclusion.
