The 21st meeting of the Intergovernmental Council on Forestry of the CIS countries will take place in Armenia

The 20th meeting of the Intergovernmental Council on Forestry of the CIS Forestry and Industrial Complex took place through a video conference.
The meeting was attended by members of the delegations of the Intergovernmental Council, representatives of the CIS Executive Committee, as well as the Federation of Trade Unions of the CIS Forest System.
The meeting was opened by the Chairman of the Council, Acting Chairman of the Forest Committee of the Ministry of Environment Arthur Petrosyan.
Greeting remarks were made by the Deputy Minister of Environment Anna Mazmanyan, the heads of the delegations of the CIS member states, the representative of the CIS Executive Committee and the Chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions of the CIS Forest System.
During the meeting  , the 2017-2021 plans of the Intergovernmental Council for Forestry and Industrial Complex were discussed, as well as cooperation until 2025 and results of the implementation of the first phase of the action plan (2016-2020) were discussed.
The issues of forestry development in the CIS, prevention and extinguishing of forest fires, implementation of measures to combat forest pests and diseases, retraining of personnel and other issues were also discussed.
It was decided to hold the 21st sitting of the Intergovernmental Council of the Forestry and Industrial Complex of the CIS countries in the Republic of Armenia.
It was decided to hold the 21st meeting of the Intergovernmental Council on the Forestry and Industrial Complex of the CIS countries in the Republic of Armenia and the Acting Chairman of the Forestry Committee of the Ministry of Environment Artur Petrosyan for the next period to approve him as Chairman of the Intergovernmental Council on the Forestry and Industrial Complex.
