Since November 15, work has started on cleaning flooded forest plantations on the shore of Lake Sevan. The work is carried out directly by the "Sevan National Park" with the newly acquired special equipment. Currently, work is being done to clear trees, shrubs and other plant combinations in the Martuni and Noratus regions of the national park.
The dismantling of illegal and permitted buildings on the coastal areas of Lake Sevan below the 1905 meters’ mark is also in the process. Many of the owners of buildings to be dismantled and demolished, who were previously notified of the ongoing processes in accordance with the law, are dismantling their buildings with their own means, realizing that the country will do this at the end of the established period.
According to the first stage, about 60 business entities were notified.
The Ministry of the Environment is firmly committed to establishing order in this area.
