Ahead of the irrigation season, the RA Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure discussed the state of water resources.
Minister of Environment Hakob Simidyan, RA Minister of TCE Gnel Sanosyan, Minister of Economy Vahan Kerobyan, Deputy Minister of MoESCS Araxia Svajyan took part in the consultation.
6 issues were included in the consultation agenda.
On the first question, the chairman of the Water Committee of RA, Vahagn Gevorgyan, reported the state of water resources ahead of this year's irrigation season. Gevorgyan presented the data on the water resources of May in 5 relatively large reservoirs, the comparative analysis with the same period of previous years.
Minister of Environment Hakob Simidyan presented his observations on the created picture, and also spoke about organizing additional water intake from Lake Sevan and its possible risks.
A discussion was held on the topic.
An agreement has been reached to discuss the problems that arise during the irrigation season during weekly inter-departmental meetings.
