A two-day seminar on "Presentation of the results of the assessment of the vulnerability of the healthcare sector in Armenia to the risks of climate change and the draft adaptation program has started”.
The event was organized in close cooperation with the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia within the framework of the UNDP-GCF NAP program "National Adaptation Program in Armenia" (UNDP).
The purpose of the two-day seminar is to present and discuss with the beneficiaries the participation of the Armenian Medical Association and the National Institute of Health in the UNDP-GCF NAP program for 2021. December 2022. the results of the assessment of climate risks and vulnerability in the healthcare sector of Armenia in August and the draft program of adaptation to climate change.
The Head of the Climate Policy Department of the Ministry of Environment Nona Budoyan delivered a welcoming speech at the event.
The speakers emphasized the implementation of adaptation measures in the field of countering the existing and projected challenges of climate change and raising awareness on these issues.
