Within the framework of the EU Twinning program, implemented jointly with the RA National Assembly and the RA Ministry of Environment, a seminar was held in the Parliament under the symbolic title "Spreading the Wings of Protection", the main theme of which is the implementation of the RA-EU Comprehensive and Expanded Partnership Agreement in the Field of Nature Protection.
The seminar was attended by Deputy Ministers of Environment Anna Mazmanyan and Aram Meimaryan, representatives of the legislative and executive authorities, the European Union, Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary accredited to the Republic of Armenia, representatives of the Parliamentary Staff and experts.
2020. Since December, the Twinning program "Strengthening the capacity of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia to further support Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement " (CEPA)has been implemented with EU funding, within the framework of which a lot of work has been done to retrain parliamentary staff, familiarize with the parliamentary experience of Greece.
Deputy Minister of Environment of the Republic of Armenia Anna Mazmanyan, stressing the importance of such seminars and discussions, stressed the need for planned legislative changes.
Czech deputies and experts presented their experience in implementing directives on the protection of nature and biodiversity of birds and the natural environment of the EU, the practical impact of EU directives on nature conservation, as well as the importance of the EU regulation on nature protection.
