To increase the number of commercial whitefish hunting in Lake Sevan by another 300 tons and extend the hunting period until November 20 this year, giving law-abiding fishermen the opportunity to carry out commercial whitefish hunting in accordance with established norms.
The increase in commercial whitefish fishing in Lake Sevan is the result of a number of complex measures.
Throughout the year, as a result of the joint work of the Ministry of Environment, the Sevan National Park, the administration of the Gegharkunik region, the EPMIB and regional police departments, strict control over the hunting of cubs was carried out.
