With the joint efforts of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation and Human Sustainable Development NGO, on October 15-17 the second phase of the three-day course of the "Prospects for the development of the energy system of RA: renewable energy as a basis of solving energy problems" was organized in Vanadzor. The training was dedicated to the problems of the RA energy system and its possible ways of solution. The issues of renewable and alternative energy and energy saving, strategic programs, possible development scenarios were considered in the core. The program consisted of theoretical and practical sections, such as visits to sectoral facilities, including wind power plants, solar photovoltaic stations, etc. The training was conducted by specialists of the appropriate field: founder of " ECORADAR" environmental  NGO and Chief Specialist of the Department for specially protected areas of nature and biodiversity policy of the Ministry of Environment Vahagn Sargsyan, director of the "Armenian Center for Green Technologies " Foundation and lecturer of the National Polytechnic University of Armenia  Khachik Sahakyan, and the president of “Biosophia” healthcare, ecological and agriculture development Center” NGO Gevorg Petrosyan.
Representatives of local self-government organizations, representatives of non-governmental organizations, mass media, students and representatives of business sphere of Lori region participated in the program.
