With the efforts of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation and " For sustainable human development" NGO, on September 17-19 in Gyumri was organized "Prospects for the development of the energy system of the Republic of Armenia. Renewable Energy as a basis of Solving Energy Problems” three-day course.
The training was dedicated to the problems of the RA energy system and its possible ways of solution. Renewable energy, energy saving issues, RA strategic programs and possible development perspectives were observed. The program consisted of theoretical-practical sections, as well as visits to sectoral facilities. The training was conducted by specialists: Founder of “ECORADAR” Environmental NGO and Chief Specialist of the Department for specially protected areas of nature and biodiversity policy of the Ministry of Environment of RA Vahagn Sargsyan, President of “Biosophia” healthcare, ecological and agriculture development Center” NGO Gevorg Petrosyan and the director of “Armenian Green Technologies Centre” Foundation Khachik Sahakyan. Representatives of local self-government bodies of Shirak region, representatives of non-governmental organizations, mass media, students and representatives of the business sector participated in the program.
