The territory of Armenia is distinguished by a variety of fauna. Being a mountainous country, located at an altitude of 1000-2500 meters above sea level, our country has created favorable conditions for the emergence of various species of fauna with its uniquely cut landscape.
There are about 12 thousand animals in Armenia.
There are also many endemic species of animals: bezoar goat, mouflon, pheasant, Armenian viper, Persian leopard, etc.
All these species of animals are of great value for the preservation of the nature of Armenia and the ecology of the world in general.
We urge our citizens to show conscious   behavior and contribute to the preservation and protection of the region's biodiversity.
