One unit of much-needed equipment for cleaning the shores of Lake Sevan has arrived. The equipment was acquired through grants under the EU4Sevan project.
It will give an opportunity to clean the water-covered areas and move the garbage with a new impetus.
The coastal forest layer is cleaned of trees, bushes and other plant combinations with the help of special equipment and handicrafts.
An area to be cleaned is the coastal zone up to 1901.5 m, part of which has already gone under water, and part has turned into a swamp.
The main goal of all this is to restore the ecosystem of Lake Sevan, to guarantee the unimpeded recovery of the lake.
