Minister of Environment Hakob Simidyan presented the budget application

The budget application of the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Armenia has been submitted. in 2023, the Ministry will implement 6 programs, 30 events
Minister of the Environment Hakob Simidyan presented the budget application on the environment at a joint meeting of the NA Standing Committees on Territorial Administration, Local Self-government, Agriculture and Nature Protection and financial and budgetary issues.
The volume of financing under the budget project for 2023 will amount to 8 billion 142 million drams, which is 20.2% more than 6 billion 771 million drams in 2022.
6 out of 30 events are events operating within the framework of the program "environmental impact assessment and monitoring.
Compared with the approved state budget for 2022, the expenses for the maintenance of the Ministry increased by 17.5%, which is mainly due to an increase in the minimum monthly wage from January 1, 2023..
602 million drams are provided for under the program "implementation of environmental programs in communities". 9 impact communities applied for subvention programs.
1 billion 304 million drams will be allocated to the program "management and protection of natural resources and specially protected natural territories", which is the cost of protecting 6 national parks.
15 million drams are provided for the event "accounting of fish and crayfish stocks in Lake Sevan and its catchment basin".
118 million drams will be allocated for the implementation of the event to clean up flooded forest plantations of Lake Sevan.
The Minister said that the problems existing within the framework of the event in terms of cleaning work are due to inconsistencies recorded as a result of work carried out on the basis of previously compiled design and estimate documents.
"Accounting for animals that are objects of hunting" for activities carried out under the Forest Management program, provision of 2 billion 679 million drams is provided.
The allocations provided for the State Museum of Nature of Armenia and the event aimed at preserving the zoo of the Yerevan Municipality amount to 350 million drams.
