In order to promote the work carried out in the field of environmental education, as well as to increase the level of environmental education in the republic, meetings with schoolchildren are continuing at the Ministry of Environment.
Today, Deputy Minister Anna Mazmanyan hosted the students of No. 6 high school named after Arthur Vanoyan of Abovyan community of Kotayk region.
During the meeting, a number of issues related to the acquisition of theoretical and practical knowledge, skills, abilities about the environment, as well as the orientation of the System of Values and behavior and the formation of ecological culture were discussed.
The students presented to the Deputy Minister the products of the ecopausers "Bemade" created by them, told about the creation and promotion of the brand. The authors of ecopausals informed the Deputy Minister that on April 22, a demonstration-sale of bags is planned at the school in order to abandon plastic bags and encourage behavior when using fabric bags.
During the meeting, the Deputy Minister also touched upon environmental problems and ways to solve them.
"One of the causes of environmental problems is the extremely low level of public environmental awareness and environmental behavior. This gap needs to be filled with such initiatives and the development of new models of behavior of individuals, groups of people and the whole society in relation to the environment," said Anna Mazmanyan.
