It is planned to expand the circle of candidates for the heads of the SNCO

On December 9, in the first reading, the National Assembly discussed the draft law "On Amendments to the Law "On State Non-Commercial Organizations", which was presented by the Deputy Minister of Environment of the Republic of Armenia Gayane Gabrielyan.
At least 4 or 3 years of public service is required to hold the positions of Secretary General or Head of Department or Head of Division. According to Gayane Gabrielyan, the positions of Secretary General, Heads of Departments and their Deputies, Heads of Divisions in the Civil Service System are comparable to the position of the Director of the SNCO, public service management positions.
According to Gayane Gabrielyan, the proposed changes will allow persons with public or professional work experience to also participate in the elections of executive bodies.
According to the following amendment, the property secured on the right of gratuitous use to state non-commercial organizations will be leased not by a government decision, but in accordance with the procedure approved by a Government Decree.
Deputy Chairman of the NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs Vahagn Hovakimyan noted that a technical amendment has been made in terms of regulating the leasing of property assigned to state non-commercial organizations on the right of gratuitous use in accordance with the procedure established by the government decision. This regulation has already taken place in 2020. changes made in July, and the next change is aimed at expanding the circle of candidates for the heads of the SNCO. The General Committee gave a positive conclusion.
