From November 15, a new stage of work on clearing the forest in the territories adjacent to flooding of the coastal areas of the lake will begin

Within the framework of his visit to Sevan National Park Minister Romanos Petrosyan also visited the Vardenik and Tsovinar sections of the Vardenis branch of the National Park, where work on cleaning the coastal strip of Lake Sevan and below the established mark will resume from November 15, with new, more powerful technical means.
The Minister got acquainted with the acquired new equipment and those territories where cleaning works should be carried out.
It should be recalled that taking as a basis the fact that the contractor assessed the cleaning of flooded forest plantations inefficiently, the Ministry of Environment initiated the work directly through the Sevan National Park.
As a result of the redistribution of the state budget in 2021, 3 units of special equipment were purchased, another unit of equipment will be purchased with grant funds under the EU for Sevan program.
In 2022, it is planned to clean up 155 hectares of flooded areas in the Martuni and Noratus sections of the Sevan National Park.
