From 2022, the sale of plastic bags up to 50 microns thick will be banned in places of trade

The only exception will be bags made from secondary raw materials and used for weighing.
Almost all water areas of Armenia are polluted with plastic wastes, plastic bags are also spread from landfills by the wind and pollute the environment, and when they are burned, they produce harmful gases, turn into microplastics, penetrate into the human body through soil and groundwater.
