Chairman of the Forestry Committee of the Ministry of Environment, Vladimir Kirakosyan, was sent to New York at the invitation of the UN Secretariat to participate in the 18th session of the United Nations Forum on Forestry.
Vladimir Kirakosyan delivered a speech during the session, first thanking the organizers of the 18th session of the UN Forest Forum.
The Chairman of the Forestry Committee referred to the environmental challenges and highly appreciated the cooperation with the United Nations, which, according to Kirakosyan, contributes not only to the development of the forest sector and the increase of the forest cover of the Republic of Armenia, but also has a positive socio-economic impact on the development of local communities.
