In the Dilijan National Park, the staff of the Department of Science organized a seminar for students of Dilijan State College in the specialty "Tourism.
An agreement has been reached on further cooperation with the college.
- At the State Museum of Nature of Armenia
A working visit of Finnish and Czech experts was organized within the framework of the Twinning program "enhanced protection and sustainable use of biodiversity in Armenia in accordance with European standards".
Possible ways of further cooperation were also discussed.
- In the Lake Arpi National Park
Cooperation with the charity foundation "A.T.P." has begun. A small tree planting was organized in the courtyards of the administrative building and the Kazanchi Visitor Center.
As part of the eco-education, students and teachers of the Gyumri Primary School No. 7 visited. The guests were presented the biodiversity of the national park, bird watching was organized, schoolchildren together with park staff calculated the cost of the river.
The head of the "Eastern" section, Samvel Ghazaryan, took part in a training seminar-discussion with Finnish and Czech experts of the twining program "enhanced protection and sustainable use of biodiversity in Armenia in accordance with European standards".
- In the "Hydrometeorology and Monitoring Center"
Acting Director Levon Azizyan met with the partner of the Armenian-German SEVAMOD2 program "Creation of scientifically based management tools for Lake Sevan", funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Science of Germany Dr. Carsten Rinke and the head of the program of the Gemholz Center for Environmental Research of Germany and the coordinator of the program Martin Schultz.
Further steps and directions of continuation of the SEVAMOD program, issues of development of monitoring capabilities and concept development within the framework of the GIZ EU4SEVAN program were discussed.
