Deputy Minister of Environment Aram Meimaryan paid a working visit to the State Museum of Nature of Armenia, which is under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Environment.
The Deputy Minister toured the museum's exhibition halls.
Rare exhibits of the flora and fauna of the Republic of Armenia are displayed in four halls of the museum.
Through a brief excursion, the Deputy Minister was presented with exhibits of unique (endemic) representatives of landscape diversity, flora and fauna of Armenia.
After the visit, the Deputy Minister held a discussion with the Director of the museum to listen to the existing problems and discuss programs and possible ways of further development of the museum.
The Deputy Minister paid special attention to improving the conditions of the museum building, re-equipment and replenishment of the material and technical base, as well as the introduction of modern information technologies.
The issues of proper preparation for the International Museum Day on May 18 were also discussed.
