Deputy Minister of Environment Aram Meimaryan held a meeting with forest scientists

On the eve of the Forest Scientist's Day, Deputy Minister of Environment Aram Meimaryan held a meeting with foresters to discuss existing problems that are important for the scope of programs and opportunities for their joint life.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the Forestry Committee of the Ministry of Environment, "Armles" SNCO and the professional division of the Ministry.
Welcoming the guests, the Deputy Minister expressed gratitude to the dedicated specialists of the field for their daily work and once again stressed their role and participation in forest management, planting, design, formation of forest crops and the implementation of the nationwide planting of trees "10 million".
The Deputy Minister also touched upon the possibility of applying professional knowledge of the field in field work and in this regard emphasized the role of specialists with bilateral professional experience.
"Problems in the field of forest management are numerous and multi-layered, and if we want highly qualified specialists to be involved in the process of solving them, it is necessary to organize cooperation between government departments, educational institutions and the private sector in a more coordinated manner," the Deputy Minister said.
At the meeting, a professional discussion unfolded around the challenges in the field of forest management, experts presented ways to confront them and discussed roadmaps for solutions.
At the end of the meeting, Aram Meimaryan thanked the specialists again.
"Attaching importance to the role of foresters in ensuring the security of the state, economic development and well-being of the people, the Ministry of Environment this year came up with a legislative initiative and from now on International Day of Forests, March 21 in Armenia will be celebrated as the day of the foresters. This is another reason to express our gratitude to those people who are devoted to their vocation, mission and our beautiful native nature," the Deputy Minister said.
