As part of her business trip to Kenya, Deputy Environment Minister Anna Mazmanyan met with Deputy Head of the UN Environment Program Sonya Leithon-kone.
During the meeting with Mrs. Sonya Leithon-kone, a number of issues of mutual interest in the field of the environment were discussed.
The Armenian delegation suggested that the UN Environment Program should have an office in Armenia.
The parties discussed the state policy on solid waste management and garbage sorting and possible international cooperation in this context.
The Deputy Minister stressed in his speech that environmental problems know no borders.
Both at the national and international levels, it is necessary to combine all efforts and fully realize all opportunities aimed at solving problems.
