Deputy Minister of Environment Anna Mazmanyan held a meeting on the topic "green financing. "innovative financial mechanisms"

In order to confront global challenges, form a general perception of strategic priorities and improve the effectiveness of coordination of work, Deputy Minister of the Environment Anna Mazmanyan with international partners within the framework of the Green Financing program. held a meeting on the topic "innovative financial mechanisms".
The meeting was attended by Andrea Baggioli, Responsible for environmental programs of the EU delegation to Armenia, Vardan Karapetyan, Senior Program Manager of the Armenian Office of the Asian Development Bank (ADB), Hovhannes Ghazaryan, Coordinator of the UNDP Climate, Environment and Sustainability Programs, Diana Harutyunyan, Coordinator of the UNDP Climate Change Programs, representative of the Representative Office of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Anna Khachatryan, heads of professional departments of the Ministries of Environment, Economy and Finance, interested persons.
Welcoming his colleagues, the Deputy Minister noted that the Ministry highly appreciates the assistance of international partners in promoting innovative tools for solving environmental problems.
During the meeting, the processes of providing the EU with green finance in order to ensure the climate agenda, as well as the transition to the basic principles of energy efficiency and programs aimed at energy resources in the context of post-crisis recovery were discussed.
Climate public spending and institutional research carried out by UNDP, coordinated by the Ministry of Environment, on climate innovation tools were touched upon.
The importance of green classification was discussed and programs that are currently in the process with the support of other donors were presented.
Deputy Minister Anna Mazmanyan noted the importance of holding such meetings regularly in order to avoid repetition of programs and achieve a satisfactory result.
