In the Ministry of Environment headed by Deputy Ministers Aram Meymaryan and Tigran Gabrielyan, the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of the Republic of Armenia, the Gegharkunik Regional Administration, the EPMIB, the Food Safety Inspection Body and the Yerevan Municipality, An extended meeting was held with the participation of representatives of the Expert commission for the Conservation of Lake Sevan of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia to discuss the process of implementing joint activities and the interaction program carried out during the whitefish spawning period in Lake Sevan.
Recall that joint activities during the whitefish spawning period in Lake Sevan have been held since December 1, 2022, they will last until January 20, 2023 inclusive.
During the meeting, the work carried out by the departments and inventoried problems were presented, as well as steps to improve the effectiveness of control measures.
Representatives of the structures advocating the implementation of the measures made presentations, voiced their points of view and opinions.
-Thus, in the period from December 15 to December 19, 2,075 whitefish and 6.5 kg of caviar were seized.
