In the wetlands of Shirak, Lori and Gegharkunik regions of the Republic of Armenia, during the visits addressed to preventing hunting of RA Red Book-listed great snipes and to preserving their migration routes, the inspectors of the RA Environmental Protection and Mining Inspection Body confiscated 8 hunting smoothbore shotguns .
Administrative fines will be imposed as a result of the initiated administrative proceedings.
The measures were held in the period from May 7 to May 23 within the framework of supervision over the fulfillment of the requirements of the environmental legislation by the workers of the Biodiversity Supervision Department of Environmental Protection and Mining Inspection Body and Gegharkunik, Shirak, Lori Territorial Divisions.
