Under the leadership of the Deputy Minister of Environment, Tigran Gabrielyan, a meeting of the working group was held for the purpose of registration of deep wells in the Ararat Valley (Ararat and Armavir regions), detection of illegal water use.
The meeting was attended by heads of the professional units of the Ministry of Environment, representatives from water basin territorial management departments and interested departments: the Water Committee of the Ministry of Territorial Management and Infrastructures, the EPMIB, regional governorates.
During the meeting, a number of agenda issues regarding the working group's activities were discussed.
Deputy Minister Tigran Gabrielyan informed that within the scope of the group's activity, the inventory work of deep wells in the Ararat valley (Ararat and Armavir regions) should be organized so that each well has its coordinates and description, which will be included in the state water cadastre by the ministry.
Tigran Gabrielyan referred to the urgency of the problem of efficient and economical use of water resources and urged the partners to unite efforts to overcome the challenges of water resources management in Armenia.
