International Day without a plastic bag, their use in Armenia is limited

July 3 is the International Day Without Plastic Bags, which is a good opportunity to once again inform the public that the world without plastic is realistic and there are reasonable alternative solutions for single-use plastic bags.
It seems that the product that humanity consumes so much was created only to make our lives easier, but this is not so. Plastic bags thrown into the environment are stored for a long time and are not biodegradable, which leads to sustainable pollution. They accumulate in water, remain on land and cause irreparable harm to both the environment-animal and plant life, and human health.
From January 1, 2022, the sale of plastic bags and bags up to 50 microns thick is prohibited at retail facilities and in places of trade, in mobile retail outlets.
Within the framework of legislative regulation, the exception is bags and bags made of secondary raw materials, as well as bags for weighing, necessary to ensure the sanitary and hygienic safety of goods. Their sale and sale are not prohibited.
Reusable bags are somewhat widely used as alternative solutions on the market today, and there are already many industries engaged in their production.
Everyone, starting from the manufacturer and ending with the end consumer, must responsibly respect and strictly observe this restriction, enshrined in the legislation of the Republic of Armenia, in the name of a single goal to have our pure homeland.
