Comparing to the last years the stock of whitefish in Lake Sevan has increased to some extent. The research is conducted annually by the Scientific Center of Zoology and Hydroecology of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia. Unprecedented events were held this year in connection with the ban on whitefish fishing in Lake Sevan, and it is expected that this will also give a positive result, says the director of the Center.
