Chaired by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, a consultation was held in the Government during which the issues of the water sector were discussed.
In particular, the distribution of the water sector, the implemented policy, and the issues related to Lake Sevan, the Ararat artesian basin, the protection of water resources, the problems related to the supply of drinking and irrigation water were addressed.
An interesting exchange of ideas took place, various observations related to the existing problems were presented. The importance of outlining and implementing comprehensive steps for the efficient use of water resources, reducing losses, forming a financial scheme for the system and solving other problems was emphasized.
In this context, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan instructed to form an interdepartmental working group, which will discuss and develop the steps to solve the existing problems in the water sector and present an annual action plan.
