In cooperation with the Ministry of Environment, the thematic event of Tyex Expert Mission on Classification, Labeling and Packaging of Materials and Mixtures (CLP) was launched in Armenia.
The participants of the three-day event are experts from EU member states, representatives of professional units of the Ministry, and interested departments.
Welcoming the participants of the event, Liana Papakhchian, Acting Head of the Hazardous Substances and Waste Policy Department of the Ministry of Environment, thanked the European partners for their willingness to transfer their support and experience for the further development of Armenian legislation on the classification, labeling and packaging procedures of substances and mixtures, and expressed confidence. that the mission will contribute to the development of relevant capacities and sectoral reforms in our country.
The holding of the event stems from the commitments undertaken by the Republic of Armenia, which are stipulated in the road map for the implementation of the comprehensive and extended partnership agreement concluded between the Republic of Armenia, the European Union and the European Atomic Energy Community and their member states, the implementation of which is committed to by the Republic of Armenia.
The mission is the continuation of the operations launched in May 2022.
