The Minister of Environment Romanos Petrosyan held a working consultation in the Sevan National Park

The Minister discussed with the management staff and heads of departments of the National Park several important initiatives starting in the near future, then the current processes were analyzed, including the financial situation of the Sevan National Park.
At the moment, there are 917 contracts in the Sevan National Park that have received state registration of "granting the right to build a land plot that is state property" and "leasing a land plot" (177,929,499 rent, 2,094. 2 hectares).
Accounts receivable under these contracts in 2021 as of November 8 are 256,274,316 drams.
Currently, claims in the amount of AMD 32,738,557 are at the stage of the trial regarding claims for the recovery of 47 amounts and/or early termination of the contract unilaterally:
The courts have declared 7 tenants bankrupt, whose liabilities amount to 31,660,678 drams.
Proposals for unilateral early termination of contracts submitted to 34 tenants are returned with the marks "unclaimed", "postponed", "absent" and others, the amount of which is 55,094,339 AMD:
18 tenants have died, the amount of contractual obligations of which is AMD 16,362,440:
33 executive documents on civil cases were submitted to the enforcement service, the amount of which is 61,756,145 AMD.
The Minister once again stressed the need for effective financial management of the SNCO, which implies the solution of the inventoried problems and the successful course of processes aimed at eliminating the obvious violations recorded.
Then the technical equipment and strengthening of the capabilities of the Sevan National Park were discussed, which will serve the most important purpose of freeing the coastal part of the lake from illegal structures.
The National Park has been equipped with new equipment, according to which the process of dismantling illegal buildings, pavilions, walls and cleaning of territories from garbage will be continued in the coastal territories controlled by the National Park, illegally constructed buildings and structures below the 1901.5 meter mark, walls of recreation areas, unfinished buildings, iron houses and pavilions, as well as work on clearing forests in the territories subject to flooding of coastal areas of the lake are dismantled.
The issue of commercial whitefish fishing was also discussed.
At the moment, the Ministry of Environment, together with the Ministry of Economy and the Institute of Hydroecology and Ichthyology of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia, is developing a new model so that the termination of the hunting season does not lead to any social problems in the region.
