World Meteorological Organization has published the official document - White paper – on the future of weather and climate forecasting.
The demand for weather and climate forecast information in support of critical decision-making has grown rapidly during the last decade, and will grow even faster in the coming years. Great advances have been made in the utilization of predictions in many areas of human activities.
The new official document on the future of weather and climate forecasting illustrates the researches of 30 lead experts in the fields of research, operations, education, which analyze the existing challenges and opportunities and come up with new propositions for the future.
