On December 25-26, 840 pieces of whitefish were confiscated
From December 20, 2021 to January 15, 2022, whitefish hunting is prohibited: during the spawning period, a program of events is being implemented in Lake Sevan and throughout Armenia.
According to the action plan, on December 25-26, 840 whitefish were found and seized during enhanced control raids by employees of the Sevan National Park, the Environmental Protection and Mining Inspection Body (EPMIB), the RA Police, the administration of Gegharkunik region. 
The seized fish were transferred to the military units of the Ministry of Defense and the “Sevan Mental Health Center” SNCO. 
Measures are being taken to identify and bring to justice those who have committed illegal hunting.
