In the period from October 8 to October 11 of this year, cleaning works were carried out in the coastal territories of Gavaraget in the communities of Landzhakhbyur, Tsakhkashen and Gegharkunik.
From the above-mentioned communities, 31 residents were involved in cleaning process. In total, 16351 kg of garbage was collected, of which 120 kg is recycled plastic, and 46 kg is recyclable glass.
The program is implemented by the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) together with the Ministry of the Environment and the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures. The local partners contributing to the clean-up work are the "AI ES Di" Innovative Solutions for Sustainable Development (ISSD) and "Blejan" environmental, social and business Support NGOs.
