The Minister of Environment Hakob Simidyan met with fish farmers

The Minister of Environment Hakob Simidyan met with nine dozen fish farmers to discuss issues related to the implementation of activities in fish farms with a closed circulation system, as well as the availability of a positive expert opinion on the impact on the environment, if this is provided by law when extending a water use permit.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Minister Tigran Gabrielyan and heads of professional departments of the Ministry.
Welcoming the participants of the meeting, the Minister thanked for the presence and asked during the meeting, through a sincere and constructive discussion, to identify possible problems within the framework of legislative regulations in order to jointly find solutions to them.
The Minister presented the existing problems in the republic in the field of water resources, then touched upon the legislative regulations being developed by the coordinating agency to solve these problems.
The Minister asked his colleagues to take a responsible approach to the use of resources and implement legislative regulations in an atmosphere of mutual partnership understanding.
During the meeting, the economic entities engaged in fish farming voiced a number of current issues and proposals.
The Head of the Department of Policy on Hazardous Materials and Waste of the Ministry presented the guidelines "On the processing of waste from the fishing industry" developed by the Ministry of Environment.
As a result of the discussions, it was decided to form a joint working group, which will work on a daily basis to resolve existing problems.
