30 kW solar power plant has been set up at Getk secondary school in the frames of "Introducing Climate Change Mitigation, Adaptation Solutions and Technologies in Developing Countries, by Transferring Lithuanian Experience" project.
The opening ceremony of the project was attended by RA Deputy Minister of Environment Anna Mazmanyan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary  H.E.  Inga Stanytė-Toločkienė, representatives of Shirak Regional Administration and other guests.
The solar power plant will allow the school to meet its own electricity needs. The project is funded by the Environmental Projects Management Agency under the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Lithuania .
