The project "2023-2025 program aimed at mitigating the gender and social impacts of climate change and the list of program implementation measures" was presented and discussed with the beneficiaries at the "Framework Discussion on Mitigation of Gender and Social Impacts of Climate Change" workshop.
The project was developed by the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, with the support of the "National Adaptation Program in Armenia" UNDP-GCF program.
The workshop, organized by the joint efforts of the Ministries of Environment, Labor and Social Affairs and the "National Adaptation Program in Armenia" UNDP-GCF program, was intended for members of the working group of the Women's Affairs Council under the RA Deputy Prime Minister, members of the working groups of the Interdepartmental Coordinating Council on Climate Change, as well as interested ministries. and departmental professionals and aimed to discuss the possibilities of reducing and preventing the gender and social impacts of climate change, as well as collect the proposals and position of the beneficiaries on the project.
Deputy Environment Minister Gayane Gabrielyan, UNDP Climate Change Program Coordinator Diana Harutyunyan and Head of Equal Opportunities Department of the RA Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs Kristina Hovhannisyan made opening remarks at the workshop.
