A meeting was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, during which conceptual approaches to the development of a water sector strategy were discussed.
In particular, they touched upon existing regulations in the water sphere, problems, international experience of the sphere, planned legal framework, models of regulation of water systems, the structure of the strategy being developed.
An interested exchange of views took place, various observations and suggestions were presented:
Prime Minister Pashinyan stressed the importance of developing a water strategy and noted that it should provide answers to the following questions: how many water resources are available in our country, how much should be accumulated and in which direction should be used.
Nikol Pashinyan stressed that the first priority is the effective management of available resources, the formation of a market and water distribution system and the stimulation of the construction of reservoirs.
