Minister of Environment Hakob Simidyan, Minister of Emergency Armen Pambukhchyan, Governor of Aragatsotn Sergey Movsisyan, Staff of the Ministry of Environment, Forestry Committee, SNCO "Armles", "Hydrometeorology and Monitoring Center" SNCO, “Environmental Projects Implementation Unit” SNCO, "Zvartnots Airlines", Head of the Environmental Protection and Mining Inspection Body Hovhannes Martirosyan and all staff, The heads of other departments and representatives of the staff planted trees on the territory of the Byurakan forestry branch of the Aragatsotn Forestry branch of the SNCO Armles.
About 8,500 seedlings were planted on the specified territory.
The main forest-forming types of trees were pine, oak, and other types of trees ash, currant, apple.
Environment Minister Hakob Simidyan thanked the participants of tree planting․
"As you know, within the framework of the global fight against climate change, Armenia has begun to expand forest territories. Planting and caring for a tree is the noblest thing we can do today for tomorrow and future generations.
And today, by planting trees, we have taken another step closer to our common vision of the green future of Armenia.
I am grateful to everyone who will contribute to the implementation of tree planting - it will be participation in national tree planting events or planting one tree in their own garden or yard," the minister said.
