Since the late 1980s of the last century, issues related to climate change have been actively discussed. Global climate change is leading to an increase in the frequency and intensity of dangerous hydrometeorological events, such as floods, droughts, hurricanes, tornadoes, from unprecedented heat to unusual frosts.
For the first time, the problems of global climate warming were discussed at the international summit held in Rio de Janeiro in 1992. In order to stabilize the level of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere and, as a result, prevent the occurrence of the greenhouse effect or reduce its negative impact on the state of the earth's climate, more than 180 representatives signed the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).
In December 1997, representatives of 190 world powers signed the Kyoto Protocol, an additional document to the Framework Convention, which committed each state to reduce or stabilize greenhouse gas emissions. 
Climate change is a reality from now on.
