Why are cold air currents so frequent in March of this year?
March 2021 is more emphasized by changes in weather patterns, conditioned by frequent cold air currents from the north-west.
The main reason for this phenomenon is severe cold winter observed in the European part of Russia this year.
Presently, also in the European territory of Russia and in Europe the air temperature is 5-6 degrees below the climate norm, there is a stable snow cover, which contributes to less transformation of the cold Arctic air masses to the south.
Today, the territory of the Republic of Armenia is also in the zone of influence of the cold front that has penetrated from the north-west, snow has fallen in the mountainous and foothill regions, the air temperature has gone down by 5-6 degrees compared to yesterday.
In the upcoming days, the unstable weather regime will be maintained, which will become especially noticeable after March 23, conditioned  by powerful cyclone penetration from the Mediterranean Sea.
