Minister of Environment Romanos Petrosyan participated in the clean-up activities and large tree planting in Gegharkunik region

In the course of the visit, the Minister was accompanied by RA Deputy Minister of Environment Anna Mazmanyan, Gegharkunik Region Deputy Governor Narek Manukyan, Acting Director of "Sevan” national park SNCO Arman Abelyan, and other officials. Romanos Petrosyan took part in the clean-up activities on the public beach of Sevan, joining the employees of "Sevan” national park, who conducted beach cleaning.
The Minister spoke about the cleanliness of Lake Sevan and its catchment area, the role and significance of "Sevan” national park, other important environmental issues of Gegharkunik region.
"Lake Sevan is the treasure of Armenia's environment, and its protection is one of our priorities, perhaps the main issue. It is usually clean where it is not polluted. Therefore, we must ensure that the residents and economic entities living on the shores of Lake Sevan, first of all, take care of the cleanliness of the lake water, as well as the cleanliness of its catchment area, to perceive the irreplaceable environmental and economic value of the lake. We have already embarked on a number of processes in this direction, which must be completed logically ".
At the end of the week, the Minister visited Martuni district of "Sevan” national park to participate in the large tree planting.
