The meeting of the management board of the grant program "Increasing the resilience of forests in Armenia through adaptation due to mitigation measures and expansion of green spaces in rural areas" was held

On December 5, 2023, the meeting of the management board of the grant program "Increasing the resilience of forests in Armenia through adaptation due to mitigation measures and expansion of green spaces in rural areas" was held. 
The event was attended by Deputy Minister of Environment Aram Meymaryan, Armenian representative of Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) Raymond Yele, as well as assistant representative Gayane Nasoyan, deputy director of the National Institute of Agricultural Research and Development, Armen Khojoyan, head of the program implementation and monitoring department of the Agricultural Institute of Agricultural Research and Development Rubik Shahazizyan , the technical cooperation coordinator of the Embassy of the Republic of Austria, Klaus Kapper, the head of the Yerevan office, Gresa Bekiraj, the temporary representative of the Bolzano autonomous region of Italy (online participation), the delegation led by Sevak Markosyan, the director of the "Hayantar" SNCO, Karen Manvelyan, the director of the Armenian office of the Wildlife Fund, TKEN head of local self-government policy department Ashot Giloyan, deputy head of land and subsoil policy department of Ministry of Finance Narine Hakobyan, chief specialist of financial planning department of capital expenditures, investment, credit and grant programs of budget process organization department of Ministry of Finance Svetlana Sukiasyan.
After the welcoming words of Deputy Minister Aram Meimaryan and FAO Armenian representative Raymond Yele, FAO representative, national coordinator of the project, Nerses Kyurinyan, presented the works carried out within the framework of the project in 2023, as well as the action plan for 2024, after which Koryun Bznuni, an employee of the PSIAP, presented the project. 2024 Annual Work Schedule and Procurement Plan.
After the presentation of the project action plan, annual work schedule and procurement plan, working discussions took place, questions were raised about project implementation, risk management and other pressing issues related to the effective implementation of the project.
The members of the Management Board decided to approve the 2024 annual work schedule and procurement plan of the grant project "Increasing Forest Resilience in Armenia through Mitigation Adaptation and Expansion of Green Spaces in Rural Areas".
